1. About Our Services
Shodo Inkworks provides custom Japanese translation and hand-drawn calligraphy services for personal use, including but not limited to tattoo design references, art prints, and digital files. All work is created by bilingual, culturally fluent human professionals — not AI or automated tools
2. All Sales Are Final
All purchases made through Shodo Inkworks are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed, as every piece is custom-created specifically for you.

3. Special Sale Purchases
Purchases made during a limited-time sale or promotional period are subject to the same no-refund policy. However, sale purchases will never expire. You may redeem your service at any time, with no deadline.
4. Delivery of Services
Upon completion of your order, you will receive your digital file(s) as described in your selected service.
Standard Turnaround: Regular orders are completed within 5 business days of purchase.
Expedited Delivery: A 24-hour expedite add-on is available for select services. Not all services are eligible for this option. Please see the individual service listing for details.
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on order volume and complexity. We will communicate with you if there are any delays.
5. Intended Use
Our translations and calligraphy are provided as reference materials intended for personal use, including use as tattoo design references. Shodo Inkworks is not liable for how the work is used, reproduced, or modified after delivery. We strongly recommend sharing your files directly with a licensed tattoo artist.
6. Accuracy and Revisions
We take great care in every translation and calligraphy piece. If you believe there is a factual error or technical mistake on our part, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will review and address it. This does not constitute a refund guarantee but reflects our commitment to quality.
7. Intellectual Property
All calligraphy artwork produced by Shodo Inkworks remains the creative work of the artist. Upon purchase, you receive a personal-use license for your commissioned piece. Resale, redistribution, or commercial use of the work without written permission is not permitted.
8. Limitation of Liability
Shodo Inkworks is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our site constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
